Privacy policy

In short: this site doesn't use its own cookies or advertising tools, counts visits anonymously, and doesn't store anything you type into the form.

What the site collects

Almost nothing. The site is made of static pages: there's no login, no database, no first-party cookies, no Google Analytics and no ad pixel.

To know how many people visit the site and where they come from, I use Ahrefs Web Analytics, which, according to Ahrefs, uses no cookies and only shows aggregate numbers: page views, where the visit came from (for example Google or Instagram), country and device type. I can't see who you are. See Ahrefs' privacy policy.

The form and the WhatsApp buttons

The "Write your message" form doesn't send anything to a server. When you tap the button, your own browser builds a message from what you typed and opens WhatsApp on your device with the text ready. The message only goes out if you hit send in WhatsApp. The site's WhatsApp buttons work the same way.

When you write to me

If you message me on WhatsApp or by email, I receive what you send: name, number or email address, and your trip details. I use it only to reply and plan your trip. I don't sell this data or pass it on to anyone, except what's needed for a booking you asked me to make in your name (in Premium Amigo). WhatsApp is a Meta service with its own privacy policy.

Third-party services the site loads

• Google Fonts: the site's fonts (Josefin Sans and League Gothic) load from Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). To deliver them, Google receives your device's IP address and technical browser data. See Google's privacy policy.
• Instagram: some blog posts show official Instagram posts embedded in the page, using Instagram's (Meta's) script. On those pages, Instagram receives your IP address and browser data and may set its own cookies. See Instagram's privacy policy.
• Hosting: the site is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical connection data, such as your IP address, to deliver the pages and protect the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• External links: links to social networks and to the sources cited in the texts lead to sites with their own policies.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete the data and messages you sent me, under Brazil's LGPD and Argentina's Law 25,326. Write to beto@tuamigoenmendoza.com.

Changes to this policy

If the site ever starts using an analytics tool or another service that processes visitors' data, this page will be updated first. The terms of service are at Terms of service.
